New Zealand Uke

A family from New Zealand asked for a themed instrument for their young son. The inlays are paua shell (NZ abalone) and feature a map of the country on the fretboard extension near the sound hole, an ebony “lava” bridge, and a Maori fishook on the neck heal. The body is AAAA curly Hawaiian koa. The body was given to the family to sign before the top was glued up. You can look through the sound hole to see the signatures.
