I had lunch with one of my favorite people yesterday – Patrick White – a gifted designer and builder and also a collector of fine bass guitars. While enjoying some extra crispy Del Taco offerings (thanks for lunch, Pat!) he mentioned that he enjoys watching work-in-progress posts about the guitar/uke building progress. Life has been full of distractions but his comment inspired me to get off my butt (actually, sit on my butt) and add some new content here. I’ll start with a project that I’ve been mulling over for a long time — a baritone ukulele with spherical shapes and made of quarter-sawn oak back & sides, a spruce top, and ebony fretboard. Watch for this under the header “Oakulele” on this very site.
Cheers to all, ‘hope things are good in your world
