I traveled and worked with the Hoyt Axton band for years back in the glory days. His son Matt is now a working musician based in Los Angeles. Matt told me that most guitar necks are too small for his hand and wished he could find one that was wide enough for his fingers. We designed and built a Martin D-28 style acoustic guitar with a 1 7/8″ neck at the nut. He picked it up in June ’23. Specs & Pics below.
